All 44 effects that need an LED matrix (without sound), sorted alphabetically. On a regular strip they only show plain single-colour light. What the symbols mean is explained in the overview.
Since 0.14 (10/2023)Speed, # blobs, Blur, TrailPalette: Default
Colored circles (“blobs”) float across the matrix, bounce off the edges, grow and shrink and slowly change color. # blobs = number, Trail = trailing effect.
Since 0.14 (10/2023)Speed, # of lines, Blur, ☑ Gradient, ☑ Smear, ☑ DotsPalette: Default
Several colored lines whose end points swing across the matrix on sine paths – a constantly changing halo of rays. # of lines, Gradient = lines with gradient, Dots = mark the end points.
Since 0.14 (10/2023)Speed, Blur, ☑ MutationPalette: Rainbow
Conway’s “Game of Life” – cells live, die and multiply according to fixed rules; new cells inherit the color of a neighbor. When it stalls or repeats, a new round begins. Mutation = occasional deviations from the rules.
A Lissajous figure (looping curve) in palette colors that rotates slowly. X frequency = shape, Speed = rotation pace.

153Matrix⏱️🔥⭐☑️ · 1️⃣2️⃣
Since 0.14 (10/2023)Speed, Spawning rate, Trail, ☑ Custom color
Digital rain as in the movie “The Matrix”: green character trails fall from the top. Spawning rate = density, Trail = trail length, Custom color = Colors 1/2 instead of green.

154Metaballs⏱️ · 🎨
Since 0.14 (10/2023)SpeedPalette: Default
Metaballs – three invisible points move around, surrounded by merging color blobs (like in a lava lamp).

146Noise2D⏱️🔥 · 🎨
Since 0.14 (10/2023)Speed, ScalePalette: Default
Perlin noise as slowly billowing color clouds from the palette. Scale = size of the clouds.

126Octopus⏱️⭐⚙️👁️☑️ · 🎨
Since 0.14 (10/2023)Speed, Offset X, Offset Y, Legs, ☑ fasttanPalette: Default
Octopus – tentacle-like spiral arms in palette colors rotate around a (movable) center. Legs = number of arms.
Since 0.14 (10/2023)Speed, Scale, ☑ Flip PalettePalette: Traffic Light
Northern lights – billowing curtains of light made of noise in the middle of the matrix (default palette Aurora-like). Scale = structure, Flip Palette reverses the colors.
Particle system: an attractor in the center pulls particles like a planet, and they orbit it. Mass = attraction force, Swallow = particles get swallowed.
Particle system: ball pit – particles fall from the top and pile up or collide at the bottom; depending on settings like rain, snow or confetti. Size, Hardness (0 = no collisions), Saturation.

193PS Box⏱️🔥⭐⚙️👁️☑️☑️☑️ · 🎨
Since 16.0 (05/2026)Speed, Particles, Tilt, Hardness, Size, ☑ Random, ☑ Washing Machine, ☑ SloshingPalette: C9 New
Particle system: particles in a box acted on by changing gravity – they slide back and forth like sand in a tilted box. Tilt = tilt, Washing Machine = rotating gravity, Sloshing = only slosh downward.

188PS Fire⏱️🔥⭐⚙️👁️☑️☑️☑️ · 🎨
Since 16.0 (05/2026)Speed, Intensity, Flame Height, Wind, Spread, ☑ Smooth, ☑ Cylinder, ☑ TurbulencePalette: Fire
Particle system: realistic fire made of many particles with wind and turbulence. Flame Height, Wind, Spread, Smooth, Cylinder (wraps around the sides), Turbulence.
Particle system: fireworks – rockets rise and burst into clouds of sparks that sink down with gravity. Launches = number, Explosion Size, Fuse = ignition height, Gravity, Ground = sparks bounce off the ground.

191PS Fuzzy Noise⏱️🔥⭐⚙️👁️☑️☑️☑️ · 🎨
Since 16.0 (05/2026)Speed, Particles, Bounce, Friction, Scale, ☑ Cylinder, ☑ Smear, ☑ CollidePalette: Yelblu Hot
Particle system: particles roll “downhill” like marbles on an invisible, slowly shifting noise landscape – creating a grainy, flowing noise image.
Particle system: galaxy – particles spiral into the center and turn white there. Starfield = a star flight out of the center instead.

200PS Ghost Rider⏱️🔥⭐⚙️👁️☑️☑️ · 🎨
Since 16.0 (05/2026)Speed, Spiral, Blur, Color Cycle, Spread, ☑ AgeColor, ☑ WallsPalette: * Random Cycle
Particle system: a white head drives curves and spirals across the matrix, dragging a long particle tail of changing color behind it (particle version of Ghost Rider).
